The NSS unit had organized a Blood donation Camp in association with “Lions Blood Bank, Vijayanagara Bengaluru on 7th July 2022. 135 volunteers came forward to donate blood during the camp which included teaching & non-teaching staff and student donors.

NSS unit had conducted “Saplings Distribution” on 04/06/2022 in view of “World Environment Day” around 52 volunteers had participated from final year B.Com and BBA courses. We pasted banners and posters in the area around the village. So that people read these and know the importance of tree plantation.

NSS unit had organized “Special Annual Camp” at Ghati, Doddaballapur from 24/03/2022 to 28/03/2022 around 37 NSS volunteers attended the camp with activities of shramadana, awareness program, guest lecturers etc.

NSS unit had conducted “Free Eye Check up Camp '' at Government High School, Rajanukunte Bengaluru on 22/03/2022 in association with Lions Club Bengaluru around 125 students screening of eye checkup was done.

NSS unit had conducted an E pledge on a theme “Say yes to life, No to drugs”on 01/02/2022 in view of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India. Around 68 NSS volunteers took E pledge and avail certificates.

The NSS unit had organized a documentary film by name “Ithihasa” video shown on a story of 100000 years of Bharath that was screened on 31/12/2021 in AV hall. Around 38 students of final year B.Com “B” section watched the documentary film.





23/12/2021

NSS unit had conducted awareness programme and survey on a topic “Role of a citizen towards good governance”on 23/12/2021 near Myllapannahalli in view of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'' an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. Around 40 volunteers of fifth semester B.Com students took part in the activity.

NSS unit had conducted an “Essay writing “competition on 20/12/2021 on topics: India of my Dream-Vision 2047 & Unsung heroes of Freedom Movement. In view of National Youth Day the competition was conducted around 38 volunteers had participated from second and final year B.Com course.





29/11/2021

NSS unit organized “Bottle Gardening activity” on 29/11/2021 for I semester B.Com “A” section students. The usage of plastic bottles is hard to avoid and are disposed of in the streets, waterways, landfills. Around 43 volunteers took part in the activity. NSS Programme Officer Mr.Srinivas explained how to make a bottle garden and its benefits & procedure to maintain.

NSS unit organized “Seed Ball Campaign” on 13/11/2021 at in and around of Myllapannahalli Lingarajapura forest area. NSS volunteers had tried creating seed balls in a simple way mixed coco peat and organic manure. Nearly 580 seed balls made by volunteers. Around 41 NSS volunteers of I semester B.Com participated in the activity.

NSS unit organized a “Cleanliness drive” under the “Swachh Bharath Abhiyan” on 23/10/2021 in and around the college campus. The Objective of the drive would promote the values of cleanliness, discipline and respect for the environment in the students and educate and sensitize them about the importance of cleanliness for a healthy. Around 42 NSS volunteers of III semester B.Com participated in the activity.

A Colloquium on “Language Technology and Hindi” was organized.Guest speakers wereDr. Shivdatta Wawalkar, Asst Prof, Dr. Aarti Pathak, Asst. Prof, Dr. Gayatri Mishra and Asst. Prof. 30 participants benefitted from the event.

State level Essay writing Competition in Hindi on ‘Environment’ was organized virtually.Guest speaker was Mrs. Nina Krisnan, GRV College. There were 72 participants for the event.

A training programme on “Pranayama in Breathing Exercises” was organized virtually by Dr. Varnaka. There were 25 participants for the event from various institutions.

NSS unit had conducted an E pledge on a theme “Say yes to life, No to drugs”on 01/02/2022 in view of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India. Around 68 NSS volunteers took E pledge and avail certificates.

The main objective of the pledge is to spread the message of the ill effects of drugs among the students and strengthen the resolve to make India a drug-free nation.

The NSS unit had organized a documentary film by name “Ithihasa” video shown on a story of 100000 years of Bharath that was screened on 31/12/2021 in AV hall at 12:05 pm. NSS volunteers can understand the Nation’s real history which actually happened and the colonial era begins with the Indus valley civilization. Around 38 students of final year B.Com “B” section watched the documentary film.

At last volunteers wrote learning outcomes of the film and gave feedback after watching the documentary.

The NSS volunteers turn the plastic bottles into something useful by bottle gardening. Around 43 volunteers took part in the activity. NSS Programme Officer Mr.Srinivas explained how to make a bottle garden and its benefits & procedure to maintain.

NSS unit organized “Seed Ball Campaign” on 13/11/2021 at in and around of Myllapannahalli Lingarajapura forest area. NSS volunteers had tried creating seed balls in a simple way mixed coco peat and organic manure. We find this method suitable for our cause when we throw those seed balls in the empty field these seed balls open up very easily when it rains. Nearly 580 seed balls made by volunteers. Around 41 NSS volunteers of I semester B.Com participated in the activity.
