Department of Management – Orientation Program

5th to 9th August 2024

The function was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. The Chief Guest Mr. B Gururaja Rao, Director, Counseling and Life skill & Wellness Service, NMIT Bengaluru delivered the inaugural address. In his address, he motivated all students and asked them to pursue their dreams and use the enormous facilities provided by the Institution.

Department of Computer Application-Orientation Program

12th to 14th August 2024

Department of BCA conducted a three-day orientation Programme from 12th to 14th August 2024 to welcome the new batch of students. The orientation began with an inauguration by Principal Prof. Raghavendra R., followed by a warm welcome address from HOD, Prof. Naveen Kumar. The guest of honor Dr. Sreekanth Rallapalli shared his valuable insights with the students.

The second day featured a lecture by Dr. Prasanna Kumar, Assistant Professor of Kannada, about the COC, a library orientation by Mr. Dhananjay, and a tree plantation drive.
The final day included a trekking trip to Devarayana Durga Hills, allowing students to bond and create lasting memories. Overall, the Programme provided a balanced mix of academic guidance, practical insights, and recreational activities.

Guest talk on The Role of Emotions in Consumer

The session covered an introduction to consumer behavior, different views of consumer decision-making, the emotional view of purchase decisions, and impulsive purchases. Emotions are powerful tools that override other purchase decision factors and the resource person illustrated the concepts with different examples.



Product Launch Event

The Management Forum, under the aegis of Department of Management, organized a highly anticipated "Interclass Product Launch" event. The event was a celebration of creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking, providing students with a platform to demonstrate their business insight. The event was attended by faculty, students, and an esteemed guest, Dr. Lokesh G R, Associate Professor and Research Supervisor at Nagarjuna College, Bengaluru.

Business Quiz

19th September 2024

The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, with a total of 22 teams registering for the event. Each team comprised two members, who demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and preparation for the quiz. The preliminary round was a challenging yet exciting affair, where the teams battled it out to secure a place in the finals.

The preliminary round included short-answer questions covering various aspects of business, economics, current affairs, and general knowledge. After a rigorous evaluation, 6 teams emerged victorious and qualified for the final rounds.

The final rounds of the quiz were meticulously planned and executed, comprising five distinct and challenging rounds. Each round was designed to test different facets of the participants' knowledge and reasoning abilities.

Department of Management – Aero Connect

3rd October 2024

The aero connect initiative aimed to enhance the educational experience of BBA Aviation students bridging theoretical knowledge with practical industry exposure. The Programme included activities such as identifying airline logos, competing in paper aircraft distance challenges, and mapping airline routes.

Rangavalli (Rangoli)

15th October 2024

Students formed teams and embraced various themes, transforming the venue into a colourful showcase of traditional and contemporary designs. The competition aimed to foster artistic expression and cultural appreciation, encouraging students to explore intricate patterns and thematic concepts in their Rangoli artwork.

Madayantika (Mehandi)

16th October 2024

This vibrant event celebrated traditional art, encouraging students to showcase their creativity and intricate skills in mehandi design. Participants displayed unique patterns, blending classic and contemporary elements to express cultural appreciation through their designs.


PAKAKAUSALAM (Fruit and Vegetable Carving)

18th October 2024

The event showcased the students' creativity and culinary skills as they transformed ordinary produce into artistic displays.




Cultural Heritage Day

21st October 2024

The event organized for celebrating the rich diversity of Indian traditions and culture and also featured an array of competitions, including Solo Singing, Solo Dance, Cooking Without Fire, Mehandi Design, Group Dance, and a dazzling Fashion Show.


DESIYA KRIDA

23rd October 2024

A traditional game of ‘Rolling the Tyre’ is conducted where the total of 23 students were participated in the event. The event successfully promoted teamwork, physical fitness and cultural awareness.

Expanded Knowledge and Insight: Students gained a broader understanding of industries, the impact of TATA Group companies, and current global trends.
Enhanced Teamwork Skills: With teams of five, participants learned the importance of coordination and effective communication under pressure.
Analytical and Strategic Thinking: The structure of the rounds challenged students to think critically and make quick decisions, strengthening their analytical abilities.

ITR Filing Course Certificate Programme

4th April 2024

The ITR Filing Course is a programme focused on Income Tax Returns, designed to equip students with a thorough understanding and in-depth knowledge of ITR forms. Additionally, the training has provided a comprehensive overview of ITR forms and the e-filing process.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO EMVVEE SOLAR SYSTEM LTD

Students of the Bachelor of Commerce visited EMVEE Solar Pvt. Ltd. The purpose of this visit was to gain practical insights into the solar industry, understand the manufacturing processes of solar products, and learn about the latest advancements in solar technology.

Students of B.Com-Logistics and Supply Chain Management Programme visited IKEA, a prominent Swedish home furnishing company. INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO MYSORE SANDAL FACTORY

Students of the Bachelor of Commerce - Business Data Analytics (BDA) visited the Mysore Sandal Soap Factory, operated by Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL). This visit aimed to provide students with a unique opportunity to learn about the historical significance, manufacturing process, and business operations of the iconic Mysore Sandal Soap brand.

MANAGEMENT FORUM INAUGURATION

18th APRIL 2024

Dr. Ganesh P.B, the Academic Director of Dhanwantari Academy for Management Studies, was the chief guest and he inaugurated the Leadership Forum. Dr. Ganesh spoke to the students about the need to engage in forum activities and to sharpen their talents so that they can be better placed in their careers. Furthermore, the students released the Management Forum logo.

The inauguration of the Commerce Forum and the unveiling of its logo took place on 3rd May 2024. Named "Vanijya Vedike" the forum's primary objective is to enhance financial literacy among students. It seeks to foster the generation and discussion of new business ideas, business plans, and current issues, aiming to cultivate a competitive mindset among students.

The inaugural season of the Nitte Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament was held at Dr. NSAM First Grade College Cricket Ground from 7th to 12th May 2024. The tournament featured 16 teams from various batches and departments, showcasing exceptional cricketing talent among the students.

The session aimed to enhance students’ interpersonal skills, communication abilities, and overall effectiveness in the workplace. Throughout the session various soft skills were addressed, including communication, teamwork, time management, and emotional intelligence.

GUEST LECTURE ON INVESTMENT DECISION

The guest lecture on "Investment Decisions" provided an in-depth exploration of various financial metrics and methods essential for evaluating investment projects. The lecture aimed to enhance students' understanding of key investment decision criteria, including Payback Period, Accounting Rate of Return, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, and Profitability Index.
